先后任日本九州大学农学部访问研究员,新加坡国立大学淡马锡生命科学研究院博士后(Postdoctoral Fellow),研究员(Research Fellow)和研究组长(Manager)。曾赴美国、日本、瑞士、新加坡和印度尼西亚等国家进行学术交流和合作研究,从事水稻和小油桐遗传改良和基因组选择研究。20126月南京农业大学引进人才任教授,博士生导师。2012年入选江苏省双创教授。

研究兴趣:植物在非生物胁迫下能够感知和适应变化的环境,并进化成复杂的耐逆机制,如耐低氮和耐盐碱等重要农艺性状是多基因控制的数量性状。我们在植物耐逆遗传育种学科领域,通过整合数量遗传学、表观遗传学、基因组学、代谢组学、生物信息学和分子生物学等学科的理论和方法,研究水稻耐低氮耐盐碱的遗传变异和选择驯化,在基因组学和代谢组学层面阐明关键基因调控网络及其分子机制,逐步破译植物氮高效和耐盐碱性状的遗传规律。上述研究不仅在植物遗传育种和植物营养的交叉学科理论体系具有科学意义,对水稻双增双减(增产增效和减肥减药)的分子育种和基因组选择具有应用价值。

主持项目:现主持国家自然科学基金面上项目两项、国家重点研发计划(课题负责人)和国家科技支撑计划(子课题负责人)各一项。开展水稻耐低氮和耐盐碱遗传育种、杂种优势利用和基因组选择研究。

论文专著:发表SCI论文80余篇,其中以第一作者或通讯作者在Nature Communications, New Phytologist, Plant Biotechnology Journal, Genetics, Theoretical and Applied GeneticsPlant Molecular Biology等杂志发表SCI文章发表30余篇。以通讯作者和参加撰写英文研究专著各一章(Book Chapter)。
